A little about me…
I am a Registered Dietitian and health educator in the New York Metro area with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Applied Physiology from Columbia University, Teachers College. My close to twenty years of experience includes worksite wellness, preventative health, individual nutrition therapy, group and family nutrition education, fitness training, recipe analysis and health writing for various organizations in the area. I am regularly quoted in and contribute to various nutrition and wellness blogs. As a passionate home cook, I love encouraging clients to experiment with new recipes. I am the host of ‘Courtney On Health’, a weekly Zoomcast about eating well, exercise and trending health topics. I embrace all types of physical activity including running, hiking, biking, skiing, yoga and weight training. My combined degree in both nutrition and physiology makes me uniquely qualified to field a wide variety of fitness and nutrition questions and concerns from clients. My lively and realistic style of counseling and facilitating health seminars is extremely effective in engaging participants of all ages.
My Philosophy
A healthful diet and physical fitness should be achievable for all regardless of budget or background. Meals should be easy to prep with the best foods available, taste good and be made with love. Fitness should be fun! Yup, I said it…FUN. Mindfulness should always be encouraged to affect positive lifestyle and behavior change. Everyone starts their pathway to wellness from a different place. My goal is to provide the tools to help guide you down that path.
